Just hours before its release, Peddi has received a key boost in Telangana. The state government has approved a temporary hike in ticket prices for Ram Charan's much-awaited sports action drama, bringing Telangana in line with neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

The approval comes after the makers sought permission from both the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to conduct special shows and revise ticket prices ahead of the film's release. While Andhra Pradesh had granted approval earlier, Telangana's decision had been pending until now.

The development is expected to provide a boost to the film's box-office prospects as it heads into release week.

Peddi has already posted encouraging advance booking numbers. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film has grossed Rs 5.39 crore in India advance bookings for its opening day, excluding blocked seats. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, alongside Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles.

The sports action drama is set for a nationwide release on June 4, with paid premiere shows scheduled across the Telugu states and select international markets on June 3.
