Pulwama: Opposition slams Modi govt for politicising sacrifices of soldiers, BJP-Shiv Sena alliance, more

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah in a scathing attack on Governor Satya Pal Malik, accused him of "failing" to carry out his "primary responsibility" and asked him to visit those injured in the Pulwama terror attack and take stock of the situation.

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also said that despite the government having intelligence inputs about a possible terror strike, why was a large convoy of CRPF personnel allowed to move on the highway.

Banerjee said she desisted from speaking against the Modi government after the incident but was compelled to talk about it now as "some people are trying to teach us what patriotism is".

She alleged while the government did nothing after the Pathankot terror assault, it was trying to "create a war-like hysteria" ahead of the elections.
