Nirbhaya convicts meet families ahead of execution; Shaheen Bagh stir; more

Ahead of the scheduled execution of convicts in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case on January 22, the convicts are being allowed to meet their families at Tihar jail. Sources said families of all the four convicts have been allowed by the Tihar jail authorities to meet them twice before execution.

The anti-CAA and anti-NRC demonstrations continued in Shaheen Bagh on Wednesday, a day after the Delhi High Court said the police has the power to control traffic wherever protests are going on and directed it to look into a plea against restrictions on Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch which has been closed for a month due to agitations against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
