Karnataka survey finds most voters trust EVMs: Rahul Gandhi's 'H-bomb' diffused?

A survey by the Karnataka Monitoring and Evaluation Authority, under the state's Congress-led government, finds that 91.31% of respondents believe Indian elections are free and fair, a direct contradiction to 'vote theft' allegations concerning EVMs. Accordfint to the survey, 83.61% expressed that they trusted EVMs, with the highest trust factor in Kalaburagi division at 94.48%. This survey comes at a time when the Karnataka government has proposed holding all the future panchayats and urban local body polls in the state using ballot paper.
