Lakhimpur Kheri violence: 2 FIRs filed, but why no arrests?

The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a one-member judicial commission to probe the Lakhimpur Kheri incident in which eight people including four farmers were killed on October 3.

Meanwhile, terming "unfortunate" the killing of eight people including four farmers in the October 3 Lakhimpur Kheri incident, the Supreme Court today sought a status report by Friday from the Uttar Pradesh government on the accused named by the police in FIR and whether they have been arrested.

But, the big question is, four days on, two FIRs have been filed, but why no arrests?

Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants
