SRH vs RR Highlights, IPL 2026: Hinge, Sakib dismantle Royals as Hyderabad secure 2nd win

What a night! SRH and Uppal is known for the big hits and the massive scores, but today it is the bowlers that stepped up. 

Praful Hinge stepped up first three wickets in the first over and then Sakib Hussain helped with some impressive bowling up fro, then the middle and at the death. Hyderabad have found a couple of new heroes for them and the bowling suddenly looks world-class. 

For RR, they will need to have a look at their approach, especially at the top. Going bang bang won't always work out and they need to find a way to steady things when wickets fall quickly. Hyderabad next play Chennai on Saturday and Rajasthan face KKR on Sunday. 

Well, Sakib Hussain is making sure he doesn't get forgotten in all the hype about Hinge. He has been using the slower ball perfectly and he dismisses Archer and Bishnoi in quick succession as Hyderabad edge closer to win at the Uppal. 

That should be the end of this contest. Ravindra Jadeja somehow finds the toe edge of the bat and the ball goes to Salil Arora. The umpire doesn't give it at first but Hyderabad take the review and it goes in the favour of the home side. SRH can sense that the win is close and will look to close things quickly. 

That's the end of the resistance from Ferreira. A slower delivery from Sakib cleans up the South African all-rounder as Jadeja remains as the only hope for the Royals now. But Ferreira showed how to bat on this track as he returns to the pavilion with 69 runs to his name from 44 balls. 

Hyderabad are heading close to their second win of the season here. 

RR need a very big over at the moment as the required run-rate goes above 16. Jadeja gets a boundary in once again but Eshan Malinga is using the slower balls perfectly. 11 come off the over, and Royals need one 20-plus over like SRH at the back end of their innings. 

One of the things that RR can learn from Ferreira and Jadeja here is that you don't need to keep attacking all the time. Jadeja is using all his experience out there as the duo have ran 23 runs and got 10 boundaries and three sixes. Here, the duo get some help from Kishan, whose throw goes all the way and to the boundary. 

Donovan Ferreira gets to his fifty with a couple of boundaries and he gives the Royals some hope on a gloomy day in Hyderabad. This is followed by a monstrous six off Dubey and 14 comes off the over. We have seen many crazy things happen in the IPL before in games like this. 

Can Ferreira do the same here?

The run-rate continues to climb and Ferreira has decided that it is time to get a move on. The South African all-rounder digs into Shivang and hits him for a boundary and a six and ensures that 13 came out of the over. The required run-rate remains in the range of 15 and RR need some big overs to come in. 

Finally, unlike RR, SRH use their left-arm orthodox bowler and he keeps the pressure going on. 8 comes off the over but the required run-rate is above 14 at the moment. These uncapped bowlers are allowing SRH to remain in control and edge closer to the win. 

RR need a move on and a couple of big overs to remain with a mathematical chance of winning the game. 

Another impressive spell from Shivang here tonight. The impressive part has been his bowling brain and how he hasn't allowed any room to work with after being hit for two boundaries last time around. In this one, he makes Jadeja and Ferreira work to make the runs and gives away four. 
 

The pressure is firmly on RR and the rate is almost up to 15 here at the Uppal. 

This is a chance for SRH to go for the kill here and finish off the game quickly. Shivang seems to be one option but may Kishan should go back to using Hinge for his final over or Sakib Hossain. Another option would be to bring in Harsh Dubey into the attack and take the ball away from Ferreira and inducing a flase shot. 

This has been a controlled partnership from the RR duo here. There hasn't been any unwanted risks and it is all about punishing the loose deliveries here. Jadeja is slowly guiding Ferreira in the innings. The required run-rate is above 12 at the moment and a couple of good overs can revive the chase. 

For now, it seems like RCB will still keep the record of the lowest score in IPL history. Jadeja and Ferreira ensure that there is no more damage after the first three overs. The experienced southpaw gets another boundary to give some momentum here but the control is with SRH right now. 

Will we get another over of brilliance from Hinge?

Hinge goes wicketless in an over. That's a rarity in his short IPL career. But he continues to tempt the RR batters to make a false shot. Here he gets hit for a six by Donovan Ferreira, and that kind of ruins his figures. But he has tails up and Ishan Kishan is going to make him bowl out his four overs early on. 

It is rare to see Ravindra Jadeja bat in the powerplay and this time, he has to rebuild the whole innings. But what the veteran has shown is that runs can come off this track and all that is needed is some patience. He gets two boundaries off Sakib Hossain to give the RR score some respectability for now. 

WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE! RR are 9 for five in three overs. 

Once again the attempt tio counter-attack has come back to hurt RR. Riyan Parag was able to get a boundary off the over and needed to just see it off. Instead Hinge just dangles the carrot to Parag and he takes the bait. He hits it straight to the slip fielder. SRH players are in disbelief and so is the RR dugout. 

Sakib Hossain joins in the fun and gets the big wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal. He bowls it short and a bit wide and Jaiswal just chases it. But the trap was set and he gets caught in the deep. The orange army is roaring while the Royals are scampering at the moment. 

This is also some stupid batting from RR batters as they have just tried to attack despite the fall of the wickets here. The wickets of Pretorious and Jaiswal could have been avoided. 

Absolute carnage at the Uppal and it is with the ball this time. Lhuan-dre Pretorious tries to flick Hinge to the leg side for a six and holes out to the fielder. We need to catch a breath here and the Royals need a major rework happening. 

This is the first time in the history of IPL that a bowler is picking up three wickets in the first over of an innings. 

WHAT A DREAM START FOR SRH! Praful Hinge is right on the money and he dismisses the stars from RR's chase against RCB in quick succession. This time the delivery is quicker and Dhruv Jurel manages to find the inside edge and it crashes on to the off stump. 

SRH fans will be wondering where Hinge has been all season as they have struggled with the ball all season. 

WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE! The match was being built as Abhishek and both men get dismissed for a golden duck! Hinge bowls it short and Sooryavanshi goes for a hook shot and top edges it straight to the wicketkeeper. The ball kept climbing on Sooryavanshi and he has to walk back. Lively start!
