Delhi’s brutal summer heat has now reached a point where even sweets are giving up.

A viral video from Delhi is grabbing attention online after a woman opened a box of laddoos only to discover that the sweets had completely melted into a soft mush because of the extreme temperatures.

The clip, shared on Instagram by Chankirat, begins with the woman showing the condition of the sweets her father had just brought home. Instead of perfectly round laddoos, the box revealed what looked more like a thick dessert paste struggling to maintain its dignity in the heatwave.

Guys, papa laddoo leke aaye aur yeh saare pighal gaye,” she says in the video while filming the melted sweets. Her mother can then be heard commenting on the unbearable weather conditions, saying even ladoos were no longer surviving Delhi’s heat.

The funniest moment, however, came when the woman jokingly declared, “Inki ab barfi banegi, mummy”, implying the melted laddoos had now evolved into barfi instead.

The video quickly spread across social media, with users flooding the comments section with jokes, memes and disturbingly relatable summer experiences.

Several people shared stories of fruits and groceries practically cooking themselves if left outside for too long. One user wrote that bananas were ripening within hours, while another said vegetables had started going bad unusually fast because of the rising temperatures.

Others compared the melted ladoos to Bengaluru’s infamous “melting crayons” moment from April, when extreme heat had caused crayons left indoors to soften and bend, becoming a viral symbol of how unbearable Indian summers were becoming.

The video has once again turned Delhi’s heatwave into peak internet content, where every household item now seems one power cut away from transforming into a science experiment.

As temperatures continue to soar across north India, social media is increasingly filling up with clips of melting chocolates, overheated gadgets, spoiled groceries and exhausted residents trying to survive the summer one meme at a time.
