A thief who was attempting to break into a locked house in Ghaziabad ended up getting stuck on the very gate he used to enter, and a video of the bizarre incident is now going viral on social media.

According to reports, the thief spotted a house that had been locked from the outside in the Shalimar Garden area and decided to squeeze through a narrow gap in the iron grille attached to the gate and wall. While he managed to get inside, his plan quickly unravelled when movement in the lane outside made him panic and attempt a quick escape.

However, in a twist of irony, he got stuck in the same grille while trying to climb out, leaving him trapped midway and unable to move. A video of the incident showed the thief wedged awkwardly in the iron bars, drawing attention from people nearby.

In the video, the man was seen half-sitting on a gate with metal grilles sticking out. One of his legs was stuck between the grilles as he attempted to squirm around and free himself. The person recording, and another passerby, were heard cursing at him and asking him to get off the gate.
