In an exclusive interview with India Today, Dr Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, the representative of Iran's Supreme Leader in India, discussed the recent ceasefire between Iran and the United States. Ilahi called the ceasefire an 'unconditional surrender' by the US, asserting that Washington failed to achieve its objectives of regime change, redrawing Iran's map, or seizing its oil. He claimed that Iran did not accept the US's 15-point proposal but instead forced the US to negotiate based on Iran's 10 conditions, including uranium enrichment and sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz. Ilahi clarified that while Pakistan acted as a mediator to stop the crisis, Iran did not specifically request any country to mediate. He further confirmed that the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in good health and is supervising the negotiations through a council.
