Design and styling

Royal Enfield has stayed faithful to the traditional Bullet silhouette despite the major mechanical transformation underneath.

The motorcycle continues with its signature upright stance, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and the iconic winged tank badge that has become synonymous with the Bullet identity over the decades.

The front end retains the classic casquette-mounted headlamp setup along with the vintage-inspired "tiger-eye" pilot lamps, a styling cue that traces its roots back to older Bullet models from the 1950s.

The motorcycle also gets hand-painted pinstripes and extensive all-metal bodywork, giving it a strong retro road presence.

The overall proportions remain traditional, with a long bench seat, wide handlebars and commanding stance helping the motorcycle preserve its old-school appeal even with the larger twin-cylinder engine platform.

Engine and performance

At the heart of the Bullet 650 is Royal Enfield’s familiar 647.95cc parallel-twin engine, which already powers models such as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

The air-oil cooled motor develops 47bhp at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm of torque at 5,650rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This makes the Bullet 650 the most powerful production Bullet ever built.

The addition of the twin-cylinder setup also promises improved refinement levels and more relaxed long-distance touring capability compared to the traditional single-cylinder Bullet models.

Chassis, suspension and ride comfort

The Bullet 650 is built around a steel tubular spine frame and rides on 43mm telescopic front forks paired with twin rear shock absorbers.

Royal Enfield has retained the commanding stance associated with the Bullet by equipping the motorcycle with a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel combination.

Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc supported by dual-channel ABS as standard.

Comfort remains a major focus for the Bullet range. The motorcycle gets a wide bench seat, raised handlebars and relaxed ergonomics designed for long hours on the saddle. The seat height stands at 800mm, while kerb weight is 243kg.

Royal Enfield has also equipped the motorcycle with a 14.8-litre fuel tank, strengthening its credentials as a long-distance touring machine.

Features

Although the Bullet 650 retains a classic design philosophy, it incorporates several modern features aimed at improving everyday usability and touring convenience.

The combination of retro styling and practical modern equipment is expected to make the Bullet 650 appealing to riders seeking a balance between heritage and convenience.

Variants and colours

The Bullet 650 will be offered with spoke wheels and will be available in two colour options:

  • Canon Black
  • Battleship Blue

Both colourways are priced identically at Rs 3,64,856 (ex-showroom).

With the Bullet 650, Royal Enfield is attempting to blend nostalgia with modern performance. The motorcycle combines the iconic design and road presence of the Bullet with the proven refinement and cruising ability of the brand’s 650cc twin-cylinder platform.
