Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday spoke to India Today TV at The Budget Roundtable.
At the event she answered various questions. Among them was if tax on the super rich in the Union Budget 2019 can be counterproductive.
To this she said that the contribution should come from all of us.
“All of us are part of this country and we might have to just for some more time bear with not so equitable tax structure,” she further said.
"Where do I get the money from otherwise? That is not to say I will rip off the rich," she added.
