Centre gave over 16 crore Covid vaccine jabs to states for free: Sources

The Centre has so far provided more 16.16 crore vaccine doses to states/UTs free of cost, said sources on Thursday. More than 1 crore doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered, sources claimed. More than 20 lakh doses, in addition, will be received by the states/UTs in the next three days.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 15 crore, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday. Cumulatively, 15,00,20,648 vaccine doses have been administered through 22,07,065 sessions, according to the provisional report till 7 am.
