Covid vaccines are new, finding best way to use them: Dr Kang on Covishield gap extension

When asked about the government's extension of the gap between two doses of Covishield, virologist Dr Gagandeep Kang said that the Covid-19 vaccines are new and experts are constantly trying to find the best way to use them.

In an exclusive interview with India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai, Dr Kang said that the data is strong for all the gaps between doses that have so far been implemented.

She also assured that the vaccines have a very high chance of preventing severe disease and mortality in people who have taken both doses.
