CBSE Class 12th Result 2026: What documents do students need for checking scores?
CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 is expected soon on cbse.gov.in, DigiLocker and UMANG App. Here's what the 'coming soon' banner means and the documents students should keep ready.
Ahead of the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 declaration, students are closely watching DigiLocker and the UMANG app after both platforms started showing “Results coming soon” alerts. The CBSE 12th result is expected to be released through cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker and UMANG.
While the board has not officially confirmed the exact date and time yet, these alerts usually mean that the result integration process is underway and marksheets may be uploaded soon.
Students are advised to keep their roll number, school number, admit-card ID and date of birth ready to avoid last-minute stress.
WHAT THE ‘COMING SOON’ ALERT MEANS
Many students are spotting banners and pop-ups on DigiLocker and UMANG mentioning that the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 will be available soon. This does not mean the result is already live.
On DigiLocker, the alert simply shows that CBSE’s result system is being prepared and synced before the official release. Once the board publishes the result, students will be able to access their Class 12 marksheet in the “Issued Documents” or “Education” section.
On the UMANG app, the “coming soon” tag appears before activation of the result login page. After declaration, students can enter their roll number, school or centre number, and date of birth to view and download their marksheet PDF.
DOCUMENTS STUDENTS SHOULD KEEP READY
After the CBSE 12th result is declared, students should immediately download and save their provisional marksheet from cbse.gov.in, DigiLocker or UMANG.
A printed copy may be needed for NEET, JEE, CUET, college admissions and scholarship applications.
Students should also keep these documents ready:
- Digital passing certificate from DigiLocker
- Migration certificate, if changing board or state
- Original admit card and photocopies
- Aadhaar card and school ID
- Bonafide certificate from school
- Previous report cards and fee receipts if required
CBSE schools are also expected to provide physical certificates later through schools. Students using DigiLocker should ensure that their Aadhaar-linked mobile number is active for verification.
