Lightning strikes Goa airport, damages runway edge lights

A strong lightning struck the Manohar International Airport (MIA) in Goa, causing damage to the runway edge lights on May 22 at around 5:15 pm.

Six flights were diverted. Damaged lights were rectified to bring the airport operations to normalcy within two hours.
