Accused detained in Delhi car crash that killed Finance Ministry official

Delhi Police have taken Gaganpreet Makkad into custody in connection with a deadly car crash that killed Navjot Singh, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon near Dhaula Kuan on Ring Road, when a speeding blue BMW hit Singh’s motorcycle from behind. Singh was returning from Bangla Sahib Gurdwara with his wife, Sandeep Kaur, who was riding pillion. Kaur stated she was wearing a helmet, while Singh had tied his turban. Authorities continue investigation.
