Anil Ambani's Mumbai residence raided by CBI in SBI-loan fraud case

Trouble mounts for businessman Anil Ambani as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducts searches at multiple premises, including his Mumbai residence. This action follows a prior investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The CBI has lodged a fresh FIR against Anil Ambani in connection with an alleged bank fraud case amounting to 17,000 crore rupees. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by the State Bank of India. According to reports, “CBI has lodged a fresh case against Anil Ambani based on a complaint by the State Bank of India and recently you know this complaint was given by this State Bank of India to the CBI.” Ambani, who has been named as an accused, may be summoned to Delhi for questioning, marking a significant escalation with two central agencies now investigating the matter.
