Bangladesh hit out at India after the parliament passed the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill that offers a path to citizenship for non-Muslim illegal immigrants who faced religious persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan or Bangladesh.
Bangladesh foreign affairs minister has hit out at India saying there are very few countries where communal harmony is as good as Bangladesh. "If Amit Shah stayed in Bangladesh for few months, he would see exemplary communal harmony in our country," he said.
The neighbouring country hoped that the bilateral ties between the countries are not affected.
