A garbage dump caved in at East Delhi's Ghazipur landfill site today after which two bodies were fished out from the Kondli canal.
Delhi police sources said at least 4 vehicles, which were moving on a nearby road, fell into the canal after a portion of the mountain of garbage came crashing down on them.
Two bodies, one including that of a girl, were found by the rescue team from the canal while five others were rescued safely and are now admitted to hospital.
A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel is on the spot to coordinate all relief and rescue operations.
After a part of the dumpyard fell into the canal, cars and bikes plying next to the landfill site also fell down into the waters.
