Gangster Vikas Dubey killed in encounter after mishap

Gangster Vikas Dubey was killed in an encounter that broke out between the history-sheeter and the Uttar Pradesh STF after the gangster tried to flee upon reaching Kanpur on Friday morning, police confirmed. According to the reports, Vikas Dubey tried to escape, resulting in an encounter. Vikas Dubey's death is yet to be confirmed by the officials.

Vikas Dubey was killed exactly seven days after the Kanpur ambush in which Vikas Dubey and his gang killed 8 policemen. On Thursday, Vikas Dubey was arrested by Madhya Pradesh Police from outside the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. He was finally arrested after a 6-day chase since the sensational killings of 8 police personnel in an ambush in Kanpur.
