India will achieve net-zero emissions by 2070: PM Modi at Glasgow COP26 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asserted that India is committed to achieving complete net-zero by 2070 and will significantly reduce the use of fossil fuel and increase renewable energy use by 2030.

Addressing the COP26 global climate summit in Glasgow, PM Narendra Modi further added that India is the only country that is delivering in "letter and spirit" the commitments on tackling climate change under the Paris Agreement.
