Kolar Stone Pelting: Tensions rise over attack on Shobha Yatra in Karnataka

Miscreants in Karnataka’s Mulbagal city allegedly pelted stones during the Shobha yatra being taken out in the city on Saturday. As a result, section 144 has been imposed in the town for the next 48 hours.

Police have said that the situation has been brought under control and three people have been arrested in connection with the issue. A total of nine people have been detained for questioning and three FIRS have been registered.

Araga Jnanendra, Karnataka Home Minister said, “Around 600-700 people took part in the Yatra. At end moment, power was switched off due to disruption. In the dark, stones were pelted on the procession. I have instructed the police to take action against culprits.”
