Major attack averted as 4 terrorists killed in J&K's Sidhra

Four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces at Sidhra near Jammu on Wednesday morning, a police officer said, adding that a large cache of weapons was found, indicating that a major terror attack was averted.

“Four terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Sidhra area in Jammu. Seven AK-47 rifles, one M4 rifle, three pistols along with other ammunition were recovered from their possession. Truck owner is yet to be identified. It was going from Jammu to Srinagar,” said additional director general of police Mukesh Singh.
