No tie-up with Samajwadi Party in future, will fight all elections alone: Mayawati

BSP Supremo Mayawati on Monday announced that she would not have any alliance with the Samajwadi Party in future. In a series of tweets, Mayawati said the BSP in the "interest of the party and movement" will contest all polls alone in future.

The BSP and the SP had formed a grand-alliance in Uttar Pradesh taking Rashtriya Lok Dal of Ajit Singh, the former Union minister, to challenge the BJP in the Lok Sabha election. The alliance could win only 15 seats while the BJP won 62.
