Despite the all too obvious economic slump, a majority of respondents of the India Today Group-Karvy Insights Mood of the Nation (MOTN) 2020 poll have rated the Narendra Modi government's handling of the economy as outstanding or good. The score is, however, relatively lower amongst Muslims and other minorities.
Of the 12,021 respondents interviewed across 19 states, 72 per cent have rated the NDA government's handling of the economy as outstanding or good. When asked 'How would you rate the Modi government's handling of the economy?', while 48 per cent responded with 'good', while 24 per cent said it was outstanding.
As per the MOTN survey, 21 per cent respondent said it was average and only six per cent said the Modi government was handling the economy poorly.
