PM Modi slams Congress with 'Hindu growth rate' jibe

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed the NDA leaders in Delhi after becoming India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation, dedicating the achievement to the collective effort of the NDA and the citizens of India. PM Narendra Modi also launched a scathing attack on the Congress, accusing it of pushing India into "helplessness, misery and an inferiority complex" and wrongly associating the country's slow economic growth with the term "Hindu growth rate". He highlighted the infrastructural and technological advancements made between 2014 and 2026, including the expansion of airports, expressways, and digital transactions. Emphasising self-reliance, he announced, 'India will also make Made in India civil aircraft.' The Prime Minister outlined future goals, focusing on renewable energy, semiconductor manufacturing, and artificial intelligence. He reiterated the government's commitment to the middle class, poverty alleviation, and national security, noting that the country is moving towards becoming a developed nation by 2047 through collective effort and continuous reforms.
