Ready to make J&K state again if situation normalises: Home Minister Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir that the government will reinstate the region's statehood when the situation goes back to normal.

Amit Shah gave the statement while proposing the bill for reorganisation of the Jammu and Kashmir. The bill was passed in Rajya Sabha with 125 votes in favour of it, bifurcating J&K into two Union territories - Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
