TN Governor RN Ravi, minister Ponmudi lock horns over English-Hindi language war

Tamil Nadu Governor, RN Ravi, at an event said that there is no question of imposing Hindi or any other language. He also said that an impression is being created by some people that the central govt is imposing a language on Tamil Nadu or anywhere which is far from true.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu's Minister for Higher education, Ponmudi, waded into a language war. Ponmudi, at an event, mocked Hindi and said that Hindi speakers sell Pani-Puri. He continued to uphold the English language while disrespecting one of India's most spoken languages.
