Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan passes away

Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan passed away after a prolonged illness in Delhi on Thursday evening. He was 74. The senior Dalit leader from Bihar had undergone a heart surgery at a hospital here a few days ago.

His son and LJP leader, Chirag Paswan, tweeted, "Papa is no more in this world, but I know wherever you are, you are always with me. Miss you Papa."

He was the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
