The attack on BJP leaders JP Nadda and Kailash Vijayvargiya's convoys has triggered a massive political war of words between the BJP and the TMC.

BJP leaders have condemned the attack and said it is an attack on democracy and Bengal government will have to answer to people for this sponsored violence. While West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee insinuated the attack was staged.
