SC refuses to entertain plea seeking to set up anti-corruption courts in every district

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain a petition filed seeking directions to Centre, States and UTs to establish Special Anti-Corruption Courts in every district to decide cases relating to corruption and other economic offences.

The petition also sought directions regarding expeditious trial of cases filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and the Prevention of Corruption Act. 

A bench led by the Chief Justice of India UU Lalit orally observed that the courts cannot micro manage everything.
