Delhi, which was seen as a white spot in the saffron wave of the BJP across the country, now is turning saffron - at least in the MCD election. But, what does it mean for the 3 major players - BJP, Congress and AAP?
For the BJP, this is a huge boost as far as the state politics is concerned. The vote share does not seem to be going much high - about 4 to 5 per cent gain, although that is a significant gain from the 2015 election. But, it is the voters who have once again reposed their faith in the BJP. This signifies the change in the leadership of the state-level of the BJP.
The AAP fought the MCD election for the first time, but this will demoralise the volunteer vote base of the party. Arvind Kejriwal will have to ensure that his seat is secure before he moves on to the national politics.
