Actor Tara Sutaria attended the Red Sea Film Foundation's Women in Cinema gala dinner at Cannes Film Festival 2026 on May 14, where she was also honoured for her contribution to cinema.

For the event, the actor chose an all-white look that combined classic styling with a contemporary couture finish. She wore an ivory satin Vivienne Westwood gown with a sculpted corset, an off-shoulder design and a fluid silhouette. Tara completed the look with diamond and emerald jewellery, while a sleek bun and soft glam make-up brought the ensemble together.

Red Sea Film Foundation on honouring the actor

In an X post, the foundation said the event would spotlight talents from the Arab world, Africa and Asia.

Announcing Sutaria's inclusion, the foundation said her journey in the arts is an amalgamation of music, theatre and cinema. It described her as a classically trained vocalist and ballerina who has performed on prestigious stages across India, Bhutan and Japan.

"This foundation became the soul of her on-screen presence as she rose to prominence with Student of the Year 2, followed by an almost decade-long career in Indian cinema," the post said.

The gala appearance followed glimpses from Tara’s first day at Cannes 2026. For that outing, she wore a black-and-white Helsa gown with a structured sweetheart neckline and a flowing silhouette. She finished that look with soft, voluminous waves and statement earrings.
