Dhanush’s Tamil action thriller Kara is gearing up for its digital premiere. Weeks after its theatrical release on April 30, the film is now set to arrive on Netflix.
The streaming platform announced the OTT release date on social media, confirming that the film will be available to stream in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam from May 28.

About Dhanush's Kara
A section of India Today's review of the film reads, "Kara is a good film that had the scope to be a better one. Superlative performances and sharply crafted robbery sequences make it worth watching – but a more grounded emotional core in the first half would have made it brilliant."
Directed by Vignesh Raja, Kara is set in the early 1990s and revolves around a former thief who is forced back into the world of crime after a bank takes over his family’s ancestral property. The film blends action with themes of justice, survival and moral conflict.
Written by Vignesh Raja and Alfred Prakash, the thriller features an ensemble cast including Jayaram, KS Ravikumar, Karunaas, Sreeja Ravi, Prithvi Pandiarajan and MS Bhaskar in key roles.
The music has been composed by GV Prakash Kumar, marking another collaboration with Dhanush after Idli Kadai.
