The controversy surrounding actor and AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) office-bearer Tiny Tom has taken a fresh turn after filmmaker MA Nishad mocked him, by calling him a public nuisance in a social media post. Using humour and satire, Nishad said the authorities should examine whether Tiny Tom could be declared a public nuisance. He wrote, “I think the government should seriously consider whether there is any provision to declare this Tiny Tom a public nuisance. Otherwise, he should be tied up in a room and forced to watch his own mimicry performances continuously for at least 48 hours. I don’t see any other solution.”

The latest reaction follows allegations made by Nina Kurup and Ansiba Hassan, who accused Tiny Tom of verbally abusing and threatening them during a gathering organised by AMMA. The issue has since led to wider discussion in the industry.

When Tiny Tom called Ansiba "jihadi"

According to reports by Manorama Online, the matter escalated further after allegations surfaced that Ansiba was referred to as a “jihadi” by Tiny Tom in a derogatory manner. There were also claims that actor Nina Kurup was physically intimidated during the dispute.

The situation escalated after senior actor and executive member Nina Kurup filed a complaint with the association against Tom, accusing him of physical and verbal misconduct during the AMMA members' family reunion in February.

However, the controversy took another turn when veteran actor and AMMA vice-president Lakshmipriya filed a complaint against Ansiba Hassan at the Tripunithura police station over an allegedly threatening WhatsApp message. She also alleged that the issue between Ansiba and Tiny Tom erupted because of a personal issue between the two.

Speaking to the media, Lakshmipriya said, "I had filed a complaint against Ansiba at the Tripunithura police station over a WhatsApp message she sent me that could affect my family life. However, after we discussed the issue, Ansiba misinterpreted it as allegations related to jihad and religious conversion."

She further alleged that AMMA secretary Nina Kurup played a role in escalating the issue between Ansiba and Tiny Tom.

Lakshmipriya also claimed that there are deep-rooted factions within the association and that president Shwetha Menon had not been properly informed about the developments.

"The current state of affairs is unsustainable. AMMA desperately needs a change atop to restore its integrity and address the genuine grievances of its members," said Lakshmipriya.
