Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman flies MiG-21 sortie after 6 months of recovery

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman on Monday flew a sortie with Indian Air Force chief Marshal BS Dhanoa on a MiG-21 fighter aircraft. The two officers took off from the Pathankot airbase in Punjab.

Abhinandan Varthaman, who was taken prisoner by Pakistan after being shot down during a rare dogfight between Indian and Pakistani fighter jets earlier this year, was back on a MiG-21 fighter aircraft after 6 months of recovery.
