Mumbai planning man-made infrastructure to avoid waterlogging, says BMC commissioner

On the mayhem caused due to monsoon in Mumbai, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi said, "Over a course of a year, Mumbai has been trying to build man-made infrastructure in order to avoid waterlogging."

The heavy downpour has caused waterlogging and congestion on roads in Mumbai. Railway services have also been delayed. Water has accumulated in many areas, making it difficult for travellers in and around Mumbai.
