Hamas releases visuals with children held hostages in Gaza amid escalating war

Hamas released several visuals showing its armed militants attending to infants and children. One of the footage, which was also shared by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), is being used to underscore the claim that Hamas may use children as shields during Israel's ground invasion. In the said video, a Hamas gunman is seen pacifying a crying child, while an infant lies in a pram, surrounded by several armed militants in what seems to be a family home garden. Hamas has killed or kidnapped numerous children during its recent attack on Israel. Apart from the unprecedented rocket strikes, the group's fighters infiltrated southern Israel near the Gaza border, with the kibbutz (communal settlement) of Kfar Aza, located just 3 km from the Gaza Strip, being among the worst-hit communities.
