Dr Ian Lipkin dismisses China lab theory, says virus came from bats not lab

In an exclusive interview with India Today, leading virologist Dr Ian Lipkin, who himself battled Covid-19, said that there is no evidence that there was an attempt to create coronavirus in a laboratory in China.

On being asked whether he believes that the novel coronavirus is a naturally occurring virus or could this have been made in a lab in Wuhan, Dr Ian Lipkin said, "There is no evidence that there was an effort to create anything of this sort. There is no data to support this".
