This episode of To The Point focusses on the signature forgery row in Bengal, attacks on the Trinamool Congress and the CBSE answer sheet row. The West Bengal CID has launched a probe into allegations of forged signatures on a Trinamool Congress (TMC) letter that endorsed Sovondeb Chattopadhay as the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly. Three TMC MLAs claim their signatures were faked, resulting in the suspension of two legislators. CID officials visited Abhishek Banerjee’s residence, though he requested a fifteen-day extension for health reasons. The programme also addresses attacks on Trinamool Congress leaders in Bengal. A day after Abhishek Banerjee was attacked in Sonarpur, now TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee was injured in an attack in Hooghly on Sunday. Kalyan Banerjee alleged that he suffered head injuries after being mobbed by BJP supporters in front of a police station in Hooghly district. The TMC has blamed the BJP, alleging a campaign of intimidation against its leaders. However, the BJP rejected the charges, calling it a legacy of TMC's own making. So, who is behind these attacks on TMC leaders? Watch as panellists share their views on this and more on the show.
