On April 8, 2024, the United States will experience a total solar eclipse, offering millions of people a rare opportunity to witness a unique celestial phenomenon.
The eclipse will begin on Mexico's Pacific coast at approximately 11.07 am PDT and will continue its journey across various regions of the country, ultimately leaving continental North America at 5.19 pm EDT.
Approximately 31.6 million individuals reside within the 200-mile path of totality, a narrow corridor where the total solar eclipse can be observed in its entirety. This path traverses numerous states, beginning in Texas, moving through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine before entering Canada.
The total solar eclipse will be visible in several cities across the country.
