Rajasthan Royals opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played a prank on two young fans at an airport, telling them he would charge Rs 100 for a picture. RR shared the video on its social media platforms as the 15-year-old continues to draw attention during IPL 2026.

In the clip, the two children approach Sooryavanshi for a photograph. He does not turn them away, but tells them he will not pose for free.

“Brother, I take money. I’m telling you honestly right now, brother. I’ll take Rs 100,” Sooryavanshi says in the video.

The fans then return with Rs 200 to get pictures with him, before Sooryavanshi breaks character and tells them it was part of a prank. He then poses for a few photographs with them.

SOORYAVANSHI ON FIRE IN IPL 2026

The off-field moment came amid a strong run for Sooryavanshi in IPL 2026. In RR’s recent match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he scored his second IPL hundred off 36 balls, the third-fastest in the history of the competition.

The innings also drew praise from SRH skipper Pat Cummins, who said he was impressed by the teenager’s batting.

“I think he’s my new favourite player. He hits the ball so hard, it’s great to watch. It’s good fun,” Cummins said.

“You have to be right on the money as a bowler. If you are not, it’s going a long way. It’s impressive. He has had a great start to his career, and yeah, I like the way he plays. Takes the game on.”

Sooryavanshi has scored 357 runs in eight matches so far at an average of 44.63 and a strike rate of 234.87. This season, he has hit 31 boundaries and 32 sixes. He will next be in action for RR when they take on PBKS in Mullanpur on April 28.
