Crematoriums full, hospitals flooded with patients as China witnesses surge in Covid cases

As Covid-19 cases witness a sharp rise in China, crematoriums in several cities are flooded with bodies and hospitals are overflowing with Covid patients after Beijing relaxed the zero-Covid norms.

After widespread protests, China on Dec 7th rolled back major Covid-19 restrictions, moving a step closer to scrapping its dreaded zero-Covid policy, which drastically slowed down the economy and the movement of people across the country.
