89 dead, over 700 injured in Israeli strikes on Beirut amid ceasefire

Israeli forces have launched a massive air offensive on central Beirut, targeting areas like Qurnaysh al-Mazraa and the Abu Haider Tower, despite a recently announced two-week ceasefire in the region. The strikes, described as the deadliest Israeli offensive on Lebanon in this conflict, have resulted in at least 89 deaths and over 700 injuries. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump have clarified that Lebanon is not covered under the current truce, with Trump referring to the conflict as a 'separate skirmish.' In response, Iran's foreign minister has called on the United States to stop enabling the war, and Iranian state media reports that oil tankers are being prevented from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
