Premium petrol prices up by Rs 2, no change in normal petrol, diesel rates

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have increased premium petrol prices by ₹2 per litre, with IOCL XP95 now priced at ₹101.80 per litre. The hike affects premium petrol used mostly in performance vehicles, while regular petrol prices remain unchanged. Industrial fuel prices have also seen a major jump, which may impact operating costs for industries involved in heavy machinery and logistics transportation. The price increase comes amid disrupted oil supplies globally due to the West Asia war. Brent crude has surged by almost 50 percent this month alone, and the rupee has closed at a higher value of approximately ₹93 to the dollar.
