Hyderabad-bound flight from Frankfurt receives bomb threat via email
The airport authorities and the security agencies went through a thorough check after the flight landed safely in Hyderabad.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was put on a high alert after the authorities received a bomb threat email, involving a Lufthansa flight arriving from Frankfurt, Germany, on Friday (May 15) at 6.03 pm.
Sources close to the development told India Today that the customer care of Hyderabad Airport received an email that claimed that a bomb had been planted on the LH-754 carrier, and it would be detonated before reaching Shamshabad airport.
Security agencies were immediately alerted, and emergency protocols were initiated.
Meanwhile, the flight landed safely at the airport. The authorities moved into the isolation bay and ran further security inspections. Bomb disposal teams and airport security personnel began a thorough examination and confirmed that no threat was found in the plane.
(Corrigendum: An earlier version of this story said that Hyderabad airport was on high alert on Sunday after a bomb threat email involving a flight from Amsterdam. However, airport officials say there was no such threat email. The error is regretted.)
