Obscene photos, blackmail: Lucknow woman alleges lover faked identity to exploit her
The woman has accused the suspect of befriending her using a false Hindu identity, later coercing her to convert to Islam for marriage, and physically assaulting and threatening her when she resisted.

A man in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow allegedly faked his identity to befriend a woman, assaulted her sexually, and blackmailed her with obscene photos and videos.
It began a few months back. As per the police complaint filed by the woman, the man introduced himself as Raju to the survivor. The two started pursuing a romantic relationship, and under the pretext of marriage, the man established a physical relationship with the survivor. However, as days passed, he allegedly started coercing the woman to convert to Islam.
The woman further discovered that the accused used a false Hindu name, and his actual name was Aamir. She immediately severed all ties with him, knowing he had defrauded her with a false identity.
The matter did not end there. The accused then started blackmailing her with obscene videos and photographs that he recorded during their courtship. He used these measures to further pressurise her for marriage.
On the night of May 10, the accused summoned her to his house, promising to delete the compromising videos in exchange for Rs 25,000.
Despite handing over the money, the victim claimed that the suspect refused to delete the footage, physically assaulted her, and threw her out of the house. When she raised an alarm, the family members of the accused allegedly gathered at the spot, verbally abused her, and joined in the assault.
Following the incident on May 10, the woman filed a complaint with the local police. She also alleged that the police did not take any action against the accused. When India Today approached Dinesh Chandra Mishra, a senior police officer in the region, he said that a case had been launched against the accused and an investigation is underway.
