Woman killed by boss's wife over suspicion of affair in Pune
The accused has been identified as 42-year-old Swati Sawant. She allegedly killed her husband's staffer and tried to hide the body by stuffing it into a sack.

A shocking case has surfaced in Pune, where a woman was allegedly killed by her boss's wife over suspicion of an extramarital affair. The victim, 35-year-old Poonam Dinesh Mun, worked in the office of a lawyer named Sanjay Sawant.
The accused has been identified as 42-year-old Swati Sawant. She allegedly killed Poonam as she suspected her of having an illicit relationship with Sanjay. After the murder, Swati purportedly attempted to hide the body by stuffing it into a sack.
The murder unravelled after Poonam, who was herself married, failed to return home one evening. Worried by the prolonged absence, her husband lodged a missing person complaint with the police the next day.
He also arrived at Poonam's workplace to look for her there. At the site, he found the door to the office was left open. Upon stepping inside, he purportedly discovered Poonam's body in a blood-soaked condition.
The police were immediately called to the scene. Preliminary investigation purportedly revealed Swati's suspicion to be the motive behind the crime.
She allegedly attacked Poonam with a blunt iron object in a fit of rage, leading to severe injuries that resulted in her death on the spot.
The police have detained Swati and initiated further investigations. Her husband, Sanjay, reportedly holds a state-level position in the legal wing of a political party and is associated with various other organisations.
The police are examining every aspect of the case.
