Covid-19 second wave: Mumbai Mayor hints at fresh curbs on train travel, malls, religious places

As fresh cases of Covid-19 skyrocket in Mumbai, Mayor Kishori Pednekar hinted at fresh curbs being imposed in the city. Train travel may be restricted to essential services only and malls, theatres and religious places are likely to be shut completely.

On Thursday, Mumbai reported 8,646 new Covid-19 cases and 18 deaths in 24 hours. This is the city's highest ever daily case count.
