Maharashtra imposes stricter Covid-19 restrictions starting today

Maharashtra government has issued another set of restrictions that will be enforced across the state starting tomorrow. The restrictions will remain in effect from 8 am on Thursday till 7 am on May 1.

According to the order issued on Wednesday, all government offices in the state will operate with only 15 per cent attendance except for emergency services directly connected to Covid-19 management.

Similarly, all offices mentioned in the April 13 order will function only with 15 per cent of total attendance or five people, whichever is more. For offices engaged in essential services, the strength of employees present in offices should not exceed 50 per cent.

Inter-district or inter-city travel has also been permitted in the case of medical emergencies, essential services and unavoidable circumstances such as sickness or death in the family.

For private buses, operators have been asked to limit stoppages to two in a city while informing the local administration about the route of the buses. All passengers will be stamped on the hand and will be required to remain in home quarantine for 14 days
